In Opsera, a user can create as many Dashboards as required. Also these dashboards can be set to be viewed only by certain audiences through the Roll-based Access Control. More about the Roll-based Access Control will be explained in a different documentation.

Section 1: Create a New Dashboard
Login to the Opsera Portal, and navigate to Insights. The landing screen of Insights will be a list of Dashboards or none.
To create a new Dashboard, click on ‘+New Dashboard’
There are multiple fields to configure.
Field | Purpose |
---|---|
Name | A name to refer to the Dashboard |
Type | Select from drop-down list. Type of dashboard can be chosen based on usability. |
Persona | The end-user of this dashboard. Can be a Developer/Manager/Executive |
Visibility | Private/Public. Choose to or not to allow dashboard visible to all users. |
Roles | Role-based access control can be leveraged for Insights. Currently, for Insights, RBAC supports only visibility. |
Description | Optional field, if required, provide a short description for the Dashboard |
Tags | Apply various tags to the dashboard. This can be done at a later step as well. |
Section 2: Edit an Existing Dashboard
In order to edit Dashboard Settings, navigate to the dashboard.
Click on the settings icon in the top right corner of the Dashboard panel.
Users will be able to make the same set of changes/configurations similar to description in Section 1.
