Kafka Connect

This tutorial will walk you through how to create a tool with Kafka Connect tool Identifier and how to configure Kafka Connect tools in pipelines using each Kafka Connect Action

Kafka Tool Creation

1. Login to https://portal.opsera.io and navigate to Tool Registry

   Open

   

2. Click on ‘+ New Tool’ button.

3. Locate the ‘Kafka Connect’ tool and click ‘Select Tool’ button. Add the required fields, and click ‘Create’ button.

In Tool Details, navigate to the Connection tab and fill out fields using correct configuration details. Click “Test Connection” and wait for Connection Succeeded message  to ensure proper configuration

Kafka Pipeline Connection

1. Navigate to Pipelines

    

2. Create a new Pipeline

    

3. Create a pipeline step with Kafka Connect tool.

4. Select gear icon to configure the step.

• Select the Kafka tool added in Tool Registry from the “Kafka Connect Tool” Drop down

• Rest of the fields to be updated as per the Kafka connect Action chosen

Kafka Connect Actions Configuration

1. Create

2. Update

3. Validate

4. Restart

5. Pause

6. Resume

7. Delete
